2020 Hanover Youth Survey
The Hanover Youth Survey (HYS) is the primary source of information on the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs in the middle school and high school youth population in Hanover County, VA. This report presents a detailed look at results from the 2019/2020 survey. The report presents local estimates of rates of use, perceptions of risk, and other measures related to alcohol, tobacco products, and other drugs. The report focuses on trends between 2016 and 2019/20, as well as differences across population subgroups in 2019/20.
2020 Hanover Adult/Parent Survey
The Hanover Adult Survey (HAS) has been conducted in 2012, 2018, and 2020 with the purpose of gathering adult perspectives on our community's needs, resources, and gaps as they relate substance use among Hanover youth. This report focuses primarily on the 2020 results and presents trend data using the 2012 and 2018 surveys, where possible.
